Cross-stack boxes in a log-cabin pattern with box ends open for proper airflow.

The Log-Cabin Cross-Stacking Protocol
Never lean flooring boxes vertically against walls. Stack boxes flat, maximum 3 to 4 boxes high, alternating horizontal directions (log-cabin style). Open the plastic wrap at box ends to allow ambient air to circulate evenly throughout the stack.

Does vinyl plank (LVP) really need to acclimate if it is waterproof plastic?
Yes! While vinyl does not absorb moisture, vinyl expands and contracts dramatically with temperature. Installing cold vinyl from an unheated delivery truck causes buckling when the room heats up.
